Community Comes First

Community is at the core of who Bank of Utah is. Since 1952, we’ve been proud to help strengthen our state by investing locally and partnering with organizations like The Policy Project that uplift our neighbors and create lasting impact.

With every partnership and every step forward, we’re helping Utah thrive and ensuring our communities remain strong for generations to come.

A Stronger Tomorrow for Our Teens

The Bank of Utah Championship is about more than world-class golf; it’s about uniting people for the good of Utah. Powered by the championship’s impact funding, Bank of Utah is partnering with The Policy Project to launch the Bank of Utah Financial Literacy Program. This initiative will bring real-world life skills lessons into Teen Centers across the state, giving vulnerable teens the resources and guidance they need to make informed financial decisions and build confidence for tomorrow. In line with the PGA TOUR’s commitment to create lasting charitable impact, this program ensures the championship’s legacy will extend far beyond the fairways.

Why Teen Centers Matter

Across Utah, more than 15,000 students lack stable housing and one in three face economic disadvantage. For many, schools are a lifeline. Through the advocacy of The Policy Project, Teen Centers have been established statewide, providing a trusted space with essential resources such as food, clothing and hygiene supplies so students can focus on learning and graduating.

Now, together with The Policy Project, Bank of Utah is bringing financial literacy to that powerful support system.

For teens facing housing insecurity or financial hardship, learning to budget, save and understand money is a critical skill. For over 70 years, Bank of Utah has helped Utahns through life’s financial milestones, and we will soon be extending that experience to teens in Teen Centers through mentorship. Our team members are excited to volunteer as role models to offer practical guidance and help students build financial confidence.

Removing barriers to opportunity

The Policy Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that advances policy solutions to do real good for real people. We combine thoughtful policy with community engagement to improve the lives of children and families across Utah.

In just a few years, our legislative efforts have provided period products in every Utah school, built Teen Resource Centers in 70+ high schools, expanded child sexual abuse prevention education for K–6 students, limited distracting cell phone use in classrooms, and increased access to free school meals.

And we’re just getting started—our next chapter will focus on bold solutions to expand housing, childcare, and other essential supports for families statewide and beyond.
